As the India Metereological Department has predicted bad weather for next few days and inadequate ground conditions, Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) has decided to postpone its season opening Twenty20 tournament, scheduled to have started from Monday.
In view of this postponement, VCA will conduct
fitness camps and nets for its various age group teams, informs a press release.
Former Vidarbha captain Pritam Gandhe, assisted by
another ex-skipper Ranjit Paradkar, will oversee the seniors and Under-23 players.
Former skipper Usman Ghani will take charge of the
Under-19 squad while Prashant Pandit will be looking after a selected squad of Over-19 boys.
Indoor nets will be used for all age groups in preparation for the upcoming BCCI domestic
season.
All SOPs for safety of players, coaches and support staff are in place and will be followed strictly.
