Maharashtra Minister of State for School Education Bachhu Kadu gave great relief to parents, who were knocking the doors of education officers against the school demanding exorbitant fees.
Kadu in a meeting with education department officials on Saturday in Nagpur said to take action against school charging exorbitant fees, while the schools are closed. He ordered that a criminal case must be filed against such school, who is charging extra fees.
The meeting was called by the School Education Minister taking cognisance of the various deputation given by the parents of different school in city. He also directed the officers at the Divisional Education Department to take sever action against the school taking extra fees.
He reminded that when school were closed and only online education was given by school, there was no question of asking for fees of any other activities which was not been carried during the pandemic period.
He also emphasised that strict action must be taken against such schools. Also present at the meeting were Vaishali Jamdar, Deputy Director, Divisional Education Department, Satish Mendhe, Assistant Director, Chintaman Wanjari. Education Officer, Chandramani Borkar, Member Divisional Fees Control Committee, Babita Sharma, Adv Pawan Sahare, Akshay Gul, Ajay Chalkhure, Amit Hosingh and other parents.
