“I feel this is a fantastic opportunity to explore and push my boundaries” Hiba Nawab

Sony SAB’s Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai has captured the imagination of the fans and managed to entertain audiences with its well-crafted storyline. Not only have the never-ending hilarious banters between Jaldirams and Jindals intrigued viewers, but the show has been keeping them hooked with its spooky elements giving a much-needed comic relief. Out of the show’s cast, the audience is admiring Hiba Nawab as Connaught Place (CP), showering her with massive appreciations and support. 

In a candid conversation, Hiba Nawab spilled beans about her double role and claimed how her performance have bettered with Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai:

Talking about her double role, she said, “I feel this is a fantastic opportunity to explore and push my boundaries and expand my horizon as an artist. My characters are entirely different from each other, and I feel blessed to be a part of the show, which enables me to showcase my talent and perform diverse shades every single day. It is helping me to improve my skills as it is very challenging for me, and I love doing exciting things as an actor.”

Hiba Nawab talking about the technique said, “For CP, I do method acting and my technique remains simple, that is to keep myself in her place and react as I will do. But for the mystery girl, Chandra Prabha, I listen to my makers, directors, and creative team to improve my expressions and make my acting believable.”

Sharing her experience on how she balances the differences, she said, “There are some points which I keep in mind to create a balance between the characters- the first one being two different looks, which is really important and impactful since the styling for both the girls are different. Secondly, their way of reacting must be different from each other. While Chandra Prabha keeps talking in typical Hindi shayaris, CP is today’s Delhi girl, who uses slangs in her vocabulary and is a fashionista. I act differently for both the characters and keep myself balanced to ensure the differences are visible.”

She further added, “For this role, I am learning different shades of acting every day and getting a chance to explore myself. I enjoy performing both the characters and I believe whenever you enjoy your portrayals, that brings out the best version of you as an actor. Since I have never played a mysterious character before, it is challenging as well as exciting for me as its rare for an artist to get such a role.”
