Due to shortage of COVID vaccines, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is forced to suspend its drive for Friday. “The civic body has not received sufficient supply from State Government and till its availability the drive is being halt for a day”, said Ram Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner.
At present the Covishield vaccine is available for citizens above 18+ age group at three Government hospitals, namely Indira Gandhi Medical College and Mayo Hospital, Daga Hospital and at AIIMS for which on-line registration is necessary.
Also Covaxin vaccine for citizens above 45 years of age is available at Government Medical College (Medical College), Barrister Rajabhau Khobragade
Hall, Siddharth Nagar, Behind Ashi Nagar Zone (Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital) and at Late Prabhakarrao Datke Municipal Corporation Diagnosis Centre, Mahal.
Those who have taken the first dose of Covaxin in the age group of 18 to 44 years will be given the second dose at Government Medical College and Late Prabhakar Datke Municipal Corporation Mahal Diagnosis Centre. For this also they have the option of on-line registration.
