The district administration has appealed to the voters who do not have photographs in the voter list to submit their photos to the polling station officials by July 15.
It is to be noted that more than 2 lakh voters in 12 Legislative Assembly constituencies of the district do not have photographs registered in the voter list. The booth level officer (BLO) is carrying out the process to collect photos from the voters.
Out of 42,30,388 voters in the district, photographs of 2,46,928 voters are not registered in the voter list. Polling officials have pointed out that many voters are migrants.
The list of names of migrant voters has been given to the representatives of all the recognised political parties of the concerned tehsils and the city.
Similarly, voters whose names have been omitted from the voter list can visit nagpur.nic.in, or visit the office of the Voter Registration Officer and ensure that their names are in the list, the administra tion said.
If name in there in the list, photograph should be submitted imme diately. If the photograph is not submitted to the polling station level officer by July 15, the name of the voter in the list will be removed from the voter list on the assumption that the voter is a migrant, informed deputy district election offi cer Meenal Kalaskar.
