State education board will declare the class 10 results before July 15. To ensure that there is no delay in starting the class 11 admission process, the education department has asked the board to declare the results by this deadline at any cost.
Actually, admission in class 11 will be held on the basis on common entrance test (CET) this year. The education department has released a detailed guide lines in this regard on Friday.
A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the education commissioner from CET to admission.
However, the education department has made CET optional. But it is believed that 97 per cent of the students will participate in it. Apart from state education board, students of CBSE, ICSC, Open School Board will also take part in the CET.
It is a challenge for the education department to organise CET for a large number of students.
In order not to face any kind of problem in the conduct of CET, it is nec essary that the class 10 results are declared soon.
Sources said that after receiving instructions from the education department, the work of evaluation and prepara tion of results is being completed expeditiously in the divisional offices of the board.
