The two-day monsoon Maharashtra Assembly session had a stormy start as BJP legislators protest outside Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on the issue of OBC reservation, Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC), and farm issues.
As the session began twelve BJP MLAs were suspended from the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for one year for misbehaving with presiding officer Bhaskar Jadhav on Monday.
The Opposition accused the Speaker of abusing some of the leaders during the ongoing Assembly session. A resolution was passed to suspend 12 MLAs for one year for abusing and manhandling the Speaker in the chair.
The 12 suspended BJP MLAs are Sanjay Kute, Ashish Shelar, Abhimanyu Pawar, Girish Mahajan, Atul Bhatkalkar, Parag Alavni, Harish Pimpale, Ram Satpute, Vijay Kumar Rawal, Yogesh Sagar, Narayan Kuche and Kirtikumar Bangdia.
