Furious over the termination of 12 MLA on July 5 at the State Legislature Assembly session Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) workers staged a protest at Badkas Chowk. Similar demonstrations were held by BJP members in other parts of the region.
The demonstration call was given by Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha. Chandrashekar Bawankule, State BJP Secretary and former Minister; Sanjay Bhende, Chairman Nagpur Nagrik Bank; Dr Milind Mane, former MLA; Dharmapal Meshram; Archana Dehandkar, former Mayor; Sachin Karare; Deepanshu Ligayat were the leaders present on the occasion.
While addressing the workers Chandrashekar Bawankule said, “The termination of 12 MLA’s by the ruling MVA alliance is only a revengeful tactic of the present Government. The termination must be cancelled and discussion on the reservation of OBC, Maratha must be carried in the house. The ruling Government is not able to answer the issue and is playing an undemocratic game.â€
He added that due to the nonperforming Government, the reservation of OBC was cancelled by the Supreme Court. Even the Government does not want to give reservations to the OBC community. Sanjay Bhende and other leaders also spoke on the occasion. Also present on the occasion were Ram Ambulkar, Sanjay Bangale, Kishore Palandurkar, Bhojraj Dumbe, Manish Meshram, Subodh Acharya, Guddu Trivedi, Deven Dasture, Vaibhav Choudhary, Riesth Pande and members of BJYM.
