A child actor from Nagpur secured second rank in the ‘Best Child Actor’ category in ‘Short Film’ at an online award ceremony held by Roshani International film Festival Aurangabad India.
The event was held on July 18 online where critically acclaimed movies, actors, directors, films were awarded for their work.
Rudrapratapsingh Thakur who will soon turn six won the second rank for his acting skills in a Marathi Short film ‘TANHA’.
Talking to The Live Nagpur Rudrapratapshing said “the silent short film is dedicated to the life of farmers. I am playing the role of the deceased farmer’s son and the story focus more on the family and the difficulties they have to faceâ€.
“The story is about the first farmer suicide incident registered by Maharashtra Government†he added.
The short film starring Rudrapratapsingh Thakur, Sangramsingh Thakur, Bhagyashree Ghuse is directed by Sanjay Jivane.
The short film was shot in Nagpur during the lockdown. Rudra wishes to follow his father’s footsteps and want to become an actor.
Tanha is Rudras first short film in which the father-son duos can be seen. The short film will soon be released on various OTT platforms for the audience soon.
