More good news for India as ace shuttler PV Sindhu enters into the semi-final securing another medal for India.
Sindhu puts in a terrific performance and defeated Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi in the quarterfinals of the women’s badminton singles on Friday, in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
The Indian shuttler sealed a 2-0 win against Yamaguchi, winning the first game 21-13, followed by 22-20.
With this win, Sindhu has kept India’s hopes of winning a first-ever Olympic gold in badminton alive. PV Sindhu won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
