Dr Kalpana Tiwari-Upadhyaya, who has been extending services in consumer welfare for the last two decades, has been appointed as member of Power Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum, East Vidarbha, under Maharashtra Electricity Regularatory Commission, recently.
The commission has appointed 12 such members in different parts of Maharashtra. Dr Kalpana is also a member of the State-level Consumer Protection High-Power Council. She has taken part in various national and state-level programmes on consumer rights protection and published articles in this field. Even during the lockdown period, she has come forward to solve various grievances of the power consumers.
