More than a thousand Indians living in New Jersey have not forgot their roots in India. The 75th year of Independence is also a proud moment for them. In order to mark the platinum jubilee year of Independence Indian Business Association (IBA) at New Jersey had organised a parade on last Sunday (August 8).
Neeta Ramekar, a Nagpurian and a member of IBA was in a attire of Bharat Mata, while participating in the parade.
The sacrifice of freedom fighters was remembered on the occasion.
Ramekar informed The Live Nagpur that even Governor of New Jersey, Mayors of Edison and Woodbridge along with some Congressmen of US participated in the parade.
Padya Foundation joined hands with IBA to organise the programme.
Dhiren Amin, President of IBA welcomed the guests. “The icon of Bharat Mata reminds us the glorious past of our nation and also the freedom struggle, and our great freedom fighters and leaders, who sacrificed their lives.â€
Raj Pandya, Shilpa Pandya, Yash Pandya from Pandya Foundation along with other members participated in the event.
