Maha Metro will celebrate Independence Day ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ with enthusiasm and gusto. This year marks beginning of Amrut Mahotsava (75 years) celebrations across the India organised at various levels. In tune with the Independence Day fervour, Maha Metro has accordingly planned to spread the message of Amrut Mahotsava.
Accordingly, Maha Metro stations will be lit with tri-colour lights on Independence Day (15 August 2021). Similar arrangement was also made on Republic Day this year earlier. The official function will be held at Metro Bhavan. Spreading the message of patriotism, Maha Metro has organised performance by Central Reserve Police Band (CRPF) band.
In fact the Band was played at Subhash Nagar Metro Station today (13th August). The same would be played on the eve of Independence Day at Chhatrapati Nagar Metro Station on 14th August and finally on Sitabuldi Interchange on Independence Day. Today the CRPF Band played patriotic song tunes at Subhash Nagar Metro Station. The same would be played at the other two locations.
This apart, Maha Metro has also planned performance by noted city group Sur Sangam. The group would play patriotic songs at Sitabuldi Interchange on Independence Day. This apart some stalls have also been put up for commuters’ benefit at Sitabuldi Interchange. Maha Metro invites citizens to participate wholeheartedly in the Amrut Mahotsav of Independence Day.
As part of the Amrit Mahotsav, Maha Metro is developing a park near Zero Mile named Freedom Park. It will be opened along with Zero Mile Freedom park Metro Station.
