A young girl was crushed under the wheels of a loaded truck at Suyog Nagar under the jurisdiction of Ajni Police Station on Thursday afternoon.
It is reported that the speedy truck knocked her down after hitting her two-wheeler from behind. The girl died instantaneously. Soon after the accident, a mob gathered at the spot and alerted Ajni police. The identity of the girl has not yet been ascertained.
Police reported that the body has been sent to Government Medical College & Hospital for post-mortem. The police detained the truck driver and seized the vehicle. They are making further investigation into the case.
