Maharashtra Public Service Commission conducts an MPSC examination every year to recruit officers for the administrative services of Maharashtra state. This examination is generally held in three stages – preliminary, mains and then the final list of selected students is released after the interview of shortlisted candidates.

MPSC 2021 Subject Wise Books – Books for Prelims
The preliminary stage of MPSC consists of two objective papers with negative markings for each incorrect answer. Each paper is held for 2 hours, carrying 200 marks for each. The first paper involves questions from History, Geography, Economics, General Science, and Environment.

MPSC books for Mains examination
After qualifying for the MPSC, preliminary examination candidates will have to appear for the MPSC Mains examination.
The MPSC mains exam comprises six papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are language tests of 3 hours and 1-hour duration, respectively involving essay & translation in the first paper and grammar & comprehension in the second paper.
Paper 1 is a subjective test, and paper 2 is an objective test. One can prepare for English language tests easily by reading Wren and Martins’ book.
