The colleges in Maharashtra are likely to reopen soon. The decision will be taken in next eight days. This was stated by Higher Education Minister Uday Samant.
Samant said that the information about situation in different parts of the state is being reviewed. After discussion with the Task Force and the Chief Minister the final date for reopening will be announced.
The decision to what extend physical presence of students will be allowed only after reviewing the situation, Samant had informed media persons.
Earlier Samant had announced that the colleges will be reopened from November 1. The date is likely to be advanced. November 1 being the first day of Diwali festival, the colleges will remain closed during it.
With announcement of reopening of schools, the hopes of college going students have brightened.
