Management of Pench Tiger Reserve organised a webinar for capacity building of the frontline staff of the reserve in which specialists expressed their views on different topics on the concluding day of the Wildlife Week.
Kundan Hate, Member, State Board for Wildlife, expressed the view on how to handle man-animal conflict in the changing situation and implement wildlife management while Ajinkya Bhatkar, Honorary Wildlife Warden, spoke on the present threats to wild animals and challenges in the future as well effects on the animals due to change in land use and developmental projects.
Udhamsingh Yadav, Honorary Wildlife Warden mentioned the importance of snakes while Avinash Londhe, another Honorary Wildlife Warden, guided on the relations between forest employees, wildlifers, local communities and tourists and their effects on wild animals.
Dr Prabhu Nath Shukla, Deputy Director, Pench Tiger Reserve, was the Chief Convener while Kiran Patil, Asstt Conservator of Forest, conducted the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
