One of the most successful teams in the history of IPL, MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will cross swords with Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2021 final on Friday. KKR have come a long way to reach this final as they were outperformed in the first phase of the IPL with just 2 wins and 5 defeats, but the side bounced back incredibly in the 2nd phase to reach the playoffs and then to enter their third final.
On the other hand, CSK are one of the most consistent teams in this year’s IPL. The team finished 2nd on the points table with 10 wins under their belt. Towards the business end of the season, CSK faced three back-to-back defeats but they brought their A-game to the table with a fantastic win against Delhi Capitals in the first qualifier.
Over the last 14 seasons, CSK have experienced the upper hand over two-time champions KKR.
While CSK might be the safe bet for most people, KKR are an unpredictable team which is very high on confidence after turning around their 2021 season in remarkable fashion.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) IPL Final will start at 07.30 PM on October 15.
