Try and you will be successful following this mantra of in life, 26-year-old Eshan Manoj Loiya a native of Kamptee has cracked the Company Secretary (CS) examination with All India Rank-1.
Eshan, belongs to the well known Loiya family from Kamptee. The results for The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) was declared on October 13.
Eshan was glad that he had cleared the CS examination but was unaware that he had secured AIR 1.
Born and brought up in Kamptee, Eshan studied at St Joseph’s Convent, Kamptee Cantonment; Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Bhagwandas PurohitVidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, Nagpur; Delhi Public School; and Kendriya Vidyalaya at
Kamptee. He later did his B.Com., from Hislop College, Nagpur.
He completed his Chartered Accountancy (CA)course in 2018. He cleared the Intermediate level in the first attempt, and cleared Finals in second attempt at the age of 23 years.
As far as CS examination is concerned, Eshan made two unsuccessful attempts. In third attempt, he suceeded.
In several cases, youngsters feel like quitting when they taste failure in the first attempt. So, what motivated him to keep trying? “I was already a Chartered Accountant. So, failure in CS examination did not deter me. I thought that every unsuccessful attempt added to my knowledge. Degrees can be earned gradually, but gaining knowledge through studies is more precious than that. So, I never thought of quitting, and kept trying,†he said.
Eshan Loiya observed that many people quit making attempts in life. “But, they should remember that whenever one tries the next time, one tries with some experience. My advise to people is not to switch over frequently. Else, one ends up having regrets about not giving another shot to what they quit in life,†he added.
Eshan’s father Manoj is a noted businessmen, mother Deepa is a homemaker. His elder brother Aditya did engineering from Ramdeobaba College of
Engineering and Management, and later earned MBA degree from IIM-Nagpur. The family home ‘Raj Bhavan’ is a well-known landmark in Lala Oli, Loiya Marg in Kamptee.
As far as Eshan is concerned, he is actively involved in stock market trading. Even while preparing for the CS examination, he had set time of four-five hours a day for ‘effective’ engagement in studies. More importantly, he cleared the CS examination with self-study.
Apart from trading, Eshan has recently started a YouTube channel, regarding preparations for CS examination. He also likes to play Flute, Harmonium, guitar, and synthesiser, and regularly posts videos on Instagram. He is a partner in a CA firm.
