In a significant development, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finalised the OMR sheet CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 Term 1 exam scheduled to start from November 16, 2021. It is to be noted that CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 Term 1 exam will be MCQ-based and it will be of 90 minutes.
The CBSE has already announced that CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 Term-1 exam will have a maximum of 60 questions and the students will need to fill the OMR sheet with a pen. The CBSE has customised the OMR sheet for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 Term-1 exam with an additional “box†and a separate column. This has been don e so that the candidates need not erase a wrong entry and they will have the option to indicate the questions which they have skipped.
Another major decision taken by CBSE for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 Term 1 exam is that it will evaluate the OMR sheets at the exam centre itself after the end of exam on the same day. The CBSe will then upload/ hand over the OMR sheet to the regional office. Around 36 lakh class 10 and Class 12 students will appear in exams this year.
It is learnt that the OMR sheet will be common for all the subjects offered by CBSE but the number of questions will vary according to the subjects.Each question will have four options to choose from i.e., ‘a’, ‘b’, ‘c’ and ‘d’. The OMR sheet will also have an additional column of 60 oval shapes for each question. “This additional column will have 60 ovals for 60 questions. If a question paper has 50 questions and a candidate skips any of those, the corresponding oval(s) in this column will be filled by him/ her,†said CBSE exam controller Bhardwaj.
