Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) squad took action against 33 property tax defaulters by confiscating their houses and plots in Ashi Nagar on Wednesday and Thursday. It will conduct auction of the property if the owners failed to deposit the tax within 15 days.
NMC issued warrants to 15 persons yesterday and 18 persons on Thursday and confiscated the property. The action was taken by Inspector Manoj Naikwade, Pradip Bagde, Ajay Patil, Sachin Shrirame, Swapnil Waghare under the guidance of Abhijit Bawiskar, Asstt Commissioner, Ashi Nagar Zone, and Anil Karhade, Asstt Superintendent. NMC appealed to these defaulters to avoid action by depositing the property tax within two weeks.
