The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 17-member squad for the ICCC Under-19 Men’s World Cup on Sunday. The mega ICC tournament is set to take place across four host countries from January 14th to February 5th, 2022. The tournament will be held at Cricks West Indies. Yash Dhull of Delhi has been named captain of India’s U19 team, with SK Rasheed serving as his deputy.
“The All-India Junior Selection Committee has chosen India’s squad for the upcoming ICC Under 19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, which will be held from January 14th to February 5th, 2022, across four host countries. In the 14th edition of the tournament, 16 teams will compete for the trophy in 48 matches.” According to the BCCI’s statement.
India are the most successful team having won four titles in 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2018. India have also been runner-up in 2016 and in the previous edition of the tournament held in 2020 in New Zealand.
