Nagpur city was coldest in Vidarbha with 7.8 degrees Celsius almost a drop by 5.6 on Monday morning. Amravati had a minimum temperature of 8.0 degree Celsius, second coldest in Vidarbha according to the data of the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC).
The state recorded a sharp dip in temperature and a further dip in minimum temperature is expected in the next two days.
Dr Anupam Kashyap informed that northerly winds are entering Maharashtra in the next 48 hrs, therefore the minimum temperature is going to decline from December 20th onwards.
