Vaccination for persons between 15 and 18 will begin from January 3. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday evening.
Similarly, booster dose for senior citizens above 60 years will also be administered from January 10.
The important announcement was made in view of the increasing number of Omicron virus infections in the nation. Preference will be given to those with comorbidity.
