The Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water have planned a 10 hours shutdown of Kanhan-900 main pipeline from December 27 (Monday) night at 10 pm to December 28 (Tuesday) at 7am . Following this shutdown, water supply in 9 ESR’s of Aashi Nagar and Satranjipura Zone remained affected on December 28 (Tuesday).
During 10 -hours shutdown technical work on Kanhan -900 feeder line:
1. Leakage Repairing on 900mm Feeder main near automotive sq
2. Leakage Repairing on 700mm Binaki Feeder at Binaki ESR
3. Leakage Repairing on 300mm Bezonbagh Branch Feeder.
4. 1 suspected leakage near N-Kumar resort (near khairi resort)
It may be mentioned here, after completion of technical work, it will take a few more hours to clear the air trapping and restore the flow at ESR’s inlet & the actual water supply in the affected areas, will resume after a few hours of shutdown completion.
As shutdown is needed to save potable water & reduce non-revenue water (NRW), NMC & OCW has appealed citizens from above-mentioned affected areas to co-operate and store sufficient water for their use in advance.
Following this 10 -hours shutdown, water supply in almost 9 ESR’s from 2 zones of Satranjipura & Aasinagar zone shall remain affected. Further as 28 ESR’s will remain empty, water supply through Tankers will also be not possible during and after shutdown in affected areas.

Citizens are requested to take a note that during and after shutdown at Kanhan WTP, Water supply through Tankers will also be not possible in the affected areas. NMC & OCW has appealed citizens from above-mentioned affected areas to co-operate and store sufficient water for their use in advance.
