Recently VED Council Delegation led by Shri Devendra Parekh met Hon’ble Shri Narendra Singh Tomar Union Minister for Agriculture, GoI during his Nagpur Visit. Past President, VED Council Devendra Parekh explained him about VED Council efforts for the development of Vidarbha region. Demands given for One Integrated Textile Park out of seven recently announced by Central Govt to ensure local cotton get value added here itself.
Shri Pradeep Maheshwari, VP, VED Council explained in detail about prospects of Refinery Petrochemical Complex by telling how Vidarbha and surrounding MP districts will get benefited by this large project. Textiles & Petro Chemicals both forex generating sectors if planned in Vidarbha. Rice Exports from Vidarbha growing steadily.
He also gave him copy of presentation for Irrigation to farmers by Gravity used by Green Energy. Explained to Hon’ble Minister how free electricity to farmers can be eliminated by this way where on fixed day fixed time water can be given to farmers.
Mr Maheshwari requested minister for Presentation to Niti Aayog for the attention of policy makers.
Shri Narendra Singh Tomar gave quality time and listened to VED Council proposals. Assured his all the help to ensure suggestions reaches to conclusion.
VED is very thankful to Shri Vikas Mahatme, MP, Rajya Sabha also took the initiative to accompany the delegation for helping to take this project forward with the Union Minister, stressing the need for this growth engine.
