Swati Gadewar, a floral artist, broke the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records on Monday by creating 107 tiaras (flower crowns) in 6 hours 54 minutes, and 48 seconds. Swati Gadewar set two records in the category of ‘Maximum Real Flower Tiaras Made and Displayed by an Individual’ at the Chitnavis Center event, which began at 7.30 a.m.
Gadewar, by the way, planned the event for her 50th birthday. She set an India Book of Records by making 90 tiaras in 5 hours 41 minutes and 41 seconds. Even after that, she continued to make tiaras. She broke the previous record by creating 107 tiaras in 6 hours 54 minutes and 48 seconds.
Swati Gadewar was awarded with the medal and certificate by Manoj Tattvavadi, National Adjudicator of the India and Asia Book of Records. Dr. Praveen Gadewar, Director of Gadewar Eye Care, thanks everyone for their support in helping his wife Swati reach a new world record. Swati Gadewar gave praise to her daughter Riddhi, son Gopal, and husband Dr Praveen for her success.
Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, famous chef Vishnu Manohar, Divisional Commissioner Prajakta Lavangare Verma, and Sheetal Teli-Ugale, Commissioner, Khadi and Village Industries, all paid a visit to the occasion and supported Swati Gadewar. To build tiaras, Swati Gadewar gathered 1,400 roses and 150 7-inch diameter rings.
She made tiaras by placing seven/eight roses and leaves on a ring. After she made 90 tiaras and registered her name in India Book of Records, members of the audience raised slogans encouraging her.The people also sang songs to encourage her. Congratulating Swati Gadewar for her record, Vishnu Manohar said that the person setting a record undergoes a lot of pressure to achieve the goal. Dayashankar Tiwari also greeted Gadewar for setting the record. After the programme, the tiaras were donated to inmates of Shraddhanand Anathalaya.
