Agrovision, one of the country’s largest exhibitions, recently concluded its event in which VED Council, under leadership of Devendra Parekh, Past President, played an active role in conducting various workshops on the latest agricultural techniques for farmers where experts from all over the country gave their presentations. Pankaj Mahajan, Vice President VED, and Navin Malewar, Treasurer, VED, presided over many workshops including Agro-Tourism.
In the process, the VED Council Delegation met Narayan Rane, MSME Minister, GOI, and submitted its memorandum to promote MSMEs to ensure implementation of the Prime Minister’s 5F formula in the region.
This 5F formula has great potential to double the income of farmers through manifold value-addition here itself. FARMS, FIBER, FABRIC, FASHION, FOREX, are most suitable for Vidarbha, explained Pradeep Maheshwari, Vice President, VED Council, to Narayan Rane Minister for MSME, GOI. This cotton-to-textiles needs huge MSME participation which is what our region is looking for, explained Maheshwari.
Devendra Parekh further elaborated on the prospects in Vidarbha to the Minister. Rane assured the VED delegation of all support from his Ministry. Pankaj Mahajan, VP & Navin Malewar, Treasurer, were also present at the meeting.
