Chess Association Nagpur organized Nagpur District Under 8 And Under 12 boys & girls Selection Chess Tournament in Association with Kalpana Prakash Welfare foundation ” Under the Aegis of Maharashtra Chess Association 1st January 2022 at Mount Litera Zee School, Ghoghali Besa, Nagpur.  Prize Distribution function was held on the same day. The Chief Guest of the Prize Distribution Ceremony was Shri Atul Kotecha, President, Unnati Foundation and General secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee. Smt Mangala Khekre, Corporator and Smt Bharati Bunde Corporator were the Guest of Honour. Shri Nishant Gandhi, President of Chess Association Nagpur presided over the ceremony. Woman Grandmaster Divya Deshmukh was prominently present on the occasion. The Prizes were distributed at the hands of Guests. The event was conducted separately for Boys and Girls Group for Under 8 and Under 12 Categories. Top Two Boys and Top Two Girls shall represent Nagpur District in the upcoming State Under 8 and State Under 12 events. The highlight of the function was an Interactive Session by Dr. Jeetendra Deshmukh, Father of WGM Divya Deshmukh who kindly consented and shared his experiences  related to handling of many important issues faced by Divya in her journey till date as parents of WGM. The session was well received by parents of participating kids who posed questions to Divya too who also keenly answered queries by parents. Also Present on the occasion were Bhushan Shriwas ( Secretary ) CAN ,S S Soman (Member MCA tournament Committee).
