Over 10,000 youths in the age-group of 15-18 years have made online registration on the opening day of vaccination programme on Monday.
Dayashankar Tiwari, the Mayor, and other office-bearers of NMC visited various vaccination booths, including Rajkumar Gupta Samaj bhavan, Bajeria, St Ursula Girls High School and others and enhanced interest among the students. The students also assured to create awareness among others for taking vaccination. Divya Dhurde, Chairperson, Woman & Child Welfare Committee, Shraddha Pathak, Gandhibag Zone Chairperson, were also present.
The NMC has made arrangements for the programme at 20 permanent centres as well as 33 schools/colleges as per requests by the managements. There is no need for online registration for students of institutions and for others it is necessary.
Moreover, Manisha Dhawde, Deputy Mayor, Prabhakar Bhoyar, Chairman of Standing Committee, Tanaji Wanve, Opposition Leader, Manisha Atkare, Lakadganj Zone Chairpersons, and others also visited various centres and took information. Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner, has appealed to parents to encourage their wards for the vaccination for their security.
