Amid the rising the Covid-19 cases and rapidly spreading Omicron variant Maharashtra government on Wednesday decided to discontinue physical classes Colleges and Universities in colleges and universities till February 15.
State Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant announced that the physical classes in all colleges and universities in the state are ordered to discontinue till February 15. All exams in the said instituitions to be conducted online till February 15.
Samant has also announced that all the Examinations would also be conducted online. University dormitories/ hostels would also be closed during this period. The decision has been taken as the cases continued to surge in the state. The decision was taken after a review meeting today.
A mini lockdown is said to be imposed in the state following a steep rise in daily cases. Mumbai Pune has already announced closure of physical sessions for classes 1 to 9 till January 31.
