The COVID-19 cases continued to rise since last 11 days in Nagpur district. Each day the count is crossing the previous days’ marks raising concerns. The tally of single-day COVID-19 cases reached close to 400 on Wednesday.
With 404 persons testing positive for novel coronavirus in the district, it has taken the cumulative cases to 4,94,926. Of the 404 cases, 49 persons tested positive in Nagpur rural while 26 persons who tested positive for the virus are not residents of Nagpur district.
Amidst the havoc by a coronavirus, its variants omicron, and delta, fortunately, nobody became victim to them. The cumulative death count stood at 10,123. Of the cumulative death number, 1,626 persons who died of COVID were not residents of the district.
Though the number of recovered persons, too, reached double-digit, the recovery rate continued to decrease. Today 24 recovered from the virus-borne disease. The recovery rate on Wednesday was reduced to 97.74%. It has taken the cumulative recovery to 4,83,727. With the number of COVID-19 cases rising day by day the active cases too are increasing and on Tuesday they rose to 1076.
