Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rains with thunderstorm in most of the places in Vidarbha, including Nagpur, from January 8 to 10. Threat of hailstorm also looms over one or two places in Nagpur and Amravati districts.
The reason for unseasonal rains can be attributed to the shift of the anticyclone towards the eastern side with the movement of the duo systems, that is the Western Disturbance and the Induced Cyclonic Circulation towards East.
In last one week,Vidarbha experienced drop in minimum temperature, but on Thursday, the night
temperature in most parts of the region witnessed rise by 1 degree Celsius.
