Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has appealed to the parents to send their wards to schools.
Tope has stated that the schools have been directed to take all precautionary measures for safety of the students. The Government has allowed reopening of schools right from pre-primary to Standard-XII from Monday, January 24. The Government has also empowered local administration to take decision about it depending upon the situation in their respective areas.
Pune, Aurangabad, Sangli, Nagpur administration have refused to open the schools on Monday. Pune schools will not open till January 31. Nagpur District Collector has announced that the schools in rural areas will not open till January 26. The Municipal Commissioner has also stated that the decision to open schools within municipal area will be taken on Monday.
In majority of the cases in several districts have expressed reluctance in sending their children for off-line classes. In Vidarbha the Corona cases are increasing by every passing day in the last two weeks.
