The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation buses are likely to ply normally from Saturday. The MSRTC employees, 27,504 are joining duties immediately.
A meeting of the employees on strike for about three months, with the State Government is scheduled for Saturday. The issue, however, appear to have been resolved on Friday itself. The details of the conditions on which the issues have been sorted out is not known.
Out of 250 bust depots in the State, 249 are expected to start plying of the buses.
The historical strike of the employees at junior cadre has been resolved. They were firm on their demand of merger of the Corporation with the State Government. Even after steep rise in offered by the Government, majority of the employees had refuse to join duties. The State Government has started issuing show cause notice and also suspending them and terminating their services. Discussion about their bringing back is likely to be held in Saturday’s meeting.
