Asha Hospital, bagged the prestigious Nursing excellence accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), the highest national recognition and a mark of quality patient care and safety. There are only 138 hospitals in India at the time that Asha Hospital bagged this prestigious National level distinction. The NABH is a constituent of the Quality Council of India (QCI) set up by the Central government and operates several accreditation programmes for hospitals and healthcare institutions.
The accreditation was conferred in recognition of Standards for Nursing Excellence (Nursing department). The Hospital has been an NABH accredited multidisciplinary Superspeciality hospital for the past 1.5 years. Asha Hospital, Kamptee has provided almost four decades of selfless and dedicated service of providing quality healthcare to the people of Central India.
The hospital has recently received various industry awards for healthcare delivery, innovation and technology. Speaking of Central India, barring 3-4 hospitals in Maharashtra precisely in Mumbai and Pune, rest of Maharashtra has only one Nursing Excellence accredited hospital, which is Asha Hospital, Kamptee, Nagpur. Accreditations by the NABH act as benchmarks for various healthcare organizations are valid for a period of two to three years and undergo renewal every at end of accreditation period.
The hospital underwent several stringent assessments to check the standards of services being provided and a check on patient safety. The certification is granted to the facilities, who maintain international standards in all areas of nursing care settings like patient care, patient education and awareness, nursing resource management, quality of nursing care, communication and guidance and infection control practices. Nursing excellence is a prestigious certification program developed and implemented by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health care, quality council of India with an aim to provide comprehensive nursing care in terms of health promotion, prevention of diseases and therapeutic nursing care, ensure the safe, competent and ethical nursing care with compassion and comfort to all the patients coming to the hospital as well as in the community.
