The mini transporters at Kalamna market has call-off their two-day strike on Monday, when Krishna Khopde, MLA from East Nagpur, gave them assurance to solve the grievances.
The mini transporters were on agitation under the leadership opf Prashant Agrawal, Organising Secretarty of Aam Aadmi Party for the last two days to protest against harassment being done by RTO officials. A deputation of Aam Aadmi Party and Anaj Vyapari Sangathana led by Santosh Agrawal met Khopde and put forth the grievances. Khopde contacted higher authorities of RTO and asked them not to harass and issue challan to mini transport drivers.
Prabhat Agrwal warned that the workers would resort to agitation if the RTO continued to create problems for the transporters. Devendra Wankhede, Convener, Ambrish Sawarkar, Ashok Mishra, Bhushan Dhakulkar, Jeetu Mutkure, Laxmikant Dandekar, Roshan Dongre, Gautam Kaware, Jamalbhai and others participated in the strike.
