Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) is conducting pilgrim special tourist train for Puri Dham Tirth pilgrimage with Adi Shaktipeeth from March 23. The train will leave Itwari Railway Station (Nagpur) on that day for nine-day pilgrimage.
This special train will cover Puri to Jagannath Mandir, Konark Mandir, Lingraj Temple in Bhuwaneshwar, Dhaulgiri Stup, Khandgiri, Kolkata to Kalighat and Birla Mandir, Kamakhya Temple, Balaji Mandir in Guwahati, Vishnupad Mandir in Gaya and Mahabodhi Mandir in Bodhgaya, where passengers can worship. The corporation has made boarding arrangements for Nagpur passengers at Bhandara road and Gondia Railway Stations, for which package booking has started.
This was stated by S J Soreng, Area Manager, IRCTC, while addressing a press conference at Press Club in Civil Lines here on Wednesday. He said the under this package tour the pilgrims travelling by sleeper class and AC III includes railway fare, dormitory/dharmashala for getting fresh, night halt facility for sleeper class passengers, Non-AC hotel for AC class pilgrims for night halt, vegetarian meals, facility to see the religious places by Non-AC buses, pilgrimage insurance etc. The pilgrimage has been organised by following government rules and regulations in view of coronavirus pandemic. A sleeper class passenger would require Rs 8,505 while AC class passenger would require Rs 14,175 for the whole religious tour, Soreng added.
