Nagpur Municipal Corporation has developed a modern e-library named after former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Behari Vajpayee at Geetanjali Chowk, Gandhibag.
Dayashankar Tiwari, Mayor, has taken initiative in creating this library to in order to make students take interest in studies, competition and make bright future. Tiwari has taken further the concept of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport, that progress should be made in education and cultural fields along with achieving phenomenal development of the city.
This was stated by Tiwari while addressing a press conference near Shitala Mata Mandir, Geetanjali talkies, on Tuesday. The concept of this e-library is based on British e-library. Its building is having three storeys and it is fully AC. The premise is under electronic surveillance. The other facilities include: parking, hall, library based on technology, reading room for persons with disability with computers, printers, lockers, special computer cell/internet for students, solar panels, reasonable fees etc.
Prashant Satpute is the Architect. Manisha Dhawde, Deputy Mayor, Dilip Diwe, Chairman of Education Committee, Rajendra Sonkusre, Chairman of Establishment Committee, Shraddha Pathak, Chaiperson, Gandhibag Zone, Adv San jay Balpande, Sarla Nayak, both Corporators, and others were present in the press conference.
