Union Minister for Road, Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari has announced a three-day industrial exhibition and MSME Expo – ‘Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav’ from March 12 to 14.Â
The initiative aims to promote MSMEs in Vidarbha. MSME-DI Nagpur in association with all leading industries and trade associations will conduct the Mahotsav at MIA House, P-26, MIDC Hingna.
Addressing the press conference, Gadkari said that the large industries, Central and State Government PSUs, corporates, MSMEs, start ups, IT/ITES, finance, research and educational institutes and many others will participate in the expo.
“It will provide a profound platform for showcasing MSME products and services, achievements, innovations, initiatives, research and development across various streams. And in the long run, it will give a much needed boost to the industrial growth in all the districts of Vidarbha,†he added.
The corporates and PSUs will also display the products and services which can be sourced from MSMEs and will give them an opportunity to highlight their vendor development programme. This match making exercise will immensely help MSMEs find new market opportunities with large scale companies, CPSUs, MNCs, etc.
During the event, entrepreneurs will be educated on various aspects of business development and to create opportunities for employment and self-employment. Various conferences on diverse topics like vendor development and buyer seller meet, export promotion and import Indigenisation, service sector, innovation and startups, automobile sector, etc. will also be conducted.
Corporates, MSMEs, students, research scholars, dealers, distributors, existing and prospective entrepreneurs etc. may participate in the mega event and take its benefit. Subsidy as perM/o MSME is available on stall rent for Micro & small enterprises. 100% for SC/ST/Womenentrepreneurs and 80% for general category entrepreneurs. Udyam registration certificate is mandatory for participating in the event. Lok Sabha MP fromGadchiroli–Chimur Ashok Nete; P M Parlewar, Director, MSMEDI Nagpur; President of MIDCIndustries Association (MIA) CG Shegaonkar and others were present in the press conference.
