Lady Entrepreneurs Wing Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association celebrated International Women’s Day on 10th March. R Vimala, IAS Collector & District Magistrate, Nagpur was the Chief Guest and Archana Javery, JITO President was the Guest of Honor.
The program commenced with Past Chairperson, Chitra Parate, explaining on how and why International Women’s Day came into existence.
Past Chairperson, Reeta Lanjewar introduced the Chief Guest, R Vimala, District Collector. VIA LEW Chairperson welcomed her and presented a bouquet and memento.
The nominations for the Entrepreneurship awards were invited online, which got a huge response. The first category – ‘Best Lady Entrepreneur in Service 2022’, was awarded to Manisha Agrawal, The second category, ‘Best Lady Entrepreneur in Trading 2022’, was awarded to Beenal Vaidya. The third award, ‘Best Lady Entrepreneur in Social Sector 2022’, Shilpa Deshpande. The Best Lady Entrepreneur Award 2022 was awarded to Ankita Sarda. This Award was given by the hands of Chief Guest, R Vimala and VIA LEW Chairperson Poonam Lala.
All the Award winners shared their success story with the audience, which motivated one and all. Free Table space was allotted to the new lady entrepreneurs to display their products.
R Vimala spoke on the equality for women. She narrated a story to highlight that knowledge, attitude and the core strength helps a person to achieve greater heights and not thegender by breaking the glass ceiling. The gift of Ayurveda is one of the most precious gift our country has given to us and the whole world. But the world around us still isn’t aware about the benefits. In such a scenario we should work as a team to promote and create awareness for the same. These days the women in the society are trying to uplift Ayurveda and spread its goodness around, but it has come to notice that the FDA and Ayush Mantralaya instead of being a helping hand are creating a little bit of a hindrance in the process. She urged the members to take note of it and offer a hand for support to the women who are striving for this great cause & appeal the ministry to make the process supportive & less tedious.
PRO Poonam Gupta introduced the Guest of Honour, Archana Javery, President of Mahavir International Service Trust Nagpur and also serving as Charter President of JITO Ladies Wing Nagpur. Business women who handled Coca-Cola Agency and MTS Mobile services for 12 years got the Best dealer award for Vidarbha.
VIA President, Suresh Rathi shared his thoughts about Women’s Day Celebration.
This year a very new on the spot contest “Quiz Competition†was organized. The 3 rounds were conducted. The first round was conducted online with multiple-choice questions on individual mobile phones. In this round there were a total 10 questions based on Entrepreneurship. Rashmi Kulkarni conducted this round. 6 women entrepreneurs, who scored highest marks, were then selected for the final round of the Quiz session. The Contest Directors were Shikha Khare, Rashmi Kulkarni & Yogita Deshmukh and Shachi Mallick helped to make this contest a success.
The winner of the Quiz Competition was Shefali Chokse and the First Runner up was Dr Smita Choure.
Poonam Lala shared the information related to the past programs conducted by LEW, which were very informative sessions for the public and which encouraged us to do well.
Poonam Lala welcomed the Chief Guest with the flower and memento as the token of love.
The Celebration received an overwhelming response and was attended by large numbers of women entrepreneurs.
