The internal roads of Government Medical College and Hospital are being repaired through the Public Works Department.
Bhoomipujan of the repair works was performed on Wednesday at the hands of a student of the College in presence of Officiating Dean Dr Gajbhiye and other teachers.
The money for the repair works got sanctioned by the administration. The repair works estimated to cost around Rs 99 lakh began on Wednesday. GMCH is the biggest hospital in Asia and gets patients from all over Central India. The repair work is expected to be completed in the next two to three weeks.
The roads leading to the students hostels and the one connecting GMCH to the Super Speciality Hospital were in very bad condition.
