The orange city on Saturday recorded a change of -1.1 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature.
The downfall in maximum temperature provided some relief to people from the heat wave as the city recorded 38.9 degrees Celsius in the evening.
Regional Meteorological Centre Nagpur has been issuing yellow alert for Heat Wave in Vidarbha region however, no warning was issued for Nagpur today.
According to the press note “No large change in Maximum temparatures over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. They were apppreciably above normal over Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha and above normal over Chhattisgarh. Chandrapur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43.4 °C. No large change in Maximum temparatures over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh during 4 days.”
In a day Akola, Amravati, Washim and Wardha reported maximum temperature above 40 degrees Celsius.
Akola 42.1, Amravati 41 degrees Celsius, Washim 41 degrees Celsius and Wardha 40.6.
