Prominent singers and artistes are performing in Khasdar Sanskritik Mahotsava organised at the initiative of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport, at Ishwar Deshmukh Physical Education College, Krida Chowk, Hanuman Nagar, from Saturday.
Gadkari and Devendra Fadnavis, Opposition Leader, lit the traditional lamp to mark inauguration of the programme. MP Krupal Tumane, Dayashankar Tiwari, Mayor, Chgandrashekhar Bawankule, Sameer Kunawar, Parinay Fuke, Vikas Kumbhare, Nago Ganar, Mohan Mate, all Legislators, MP Vikas Mahatme, Dr Vibha Datta, Suresh Sharma and others were prominently present. After interval, the participants paid tributes to Lata Mangeshkar.
The opening performance was by Shankar Mahadevan, versatile singer and compose, who started with Ganesh Vandana ‘Vakratund Mahakay Gannayakay Gandaivatay’. He presented famous songs in his style and mesmerised the members of audience.
On Sunday, Sunidhi Chaudhari, well known singer, virtually made youngsters dance on the songs she presented like Ni Main Kamli Kamli, Kyu Na Hum Toh, Mil Gayi Aaj Aasa,am Se, Ek Mai au Ek Tu Hain, Jaage re Main Kahi and others and won the hearts of audience.. It was a dashing performance on the stage as youths clapped, applauded and danced.
The programme by Sairam Iyer, who is known for his dual vocal singing ability, is slated on Monday evening.
