The orange city on Monday recorded a change of 0.2 degrees Celsius taking the maximum temperature to 39.4 degrees Celsius.
The downfall in maximum temperature provided some relief to people from the heat wave as clouds partially cover the city during evening.
Regional Meteorological Centre Nagpur has been issuing yellow alert with Heat Wave conditions observed in isolated pockets over West Madhya Pradesh while dry weather prevailed over Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Earlier in a day RMC issued yellow alert of thunderstorm and lightning for Nagpur and other Vidarbha region.
On Monday Akola recorded 41.7 degrees Celsius, Amravati, Washim 41 degrees Celsius respectively and Wardha 40.5 degrees Celsius, Chandrapur 40.4 degrees Celsius, Brahmpuri 40.2 degrees Celsius, Yavatmal 39.5 degrees Celsius, Nagpur and Gondia both reported 39.4 degrees Celsius, Gadchiroli 38 degrees Celsius, while Buldana recorded 37.8 degrees Celsius.
