The orange city on Wednesday recorded a maximum temperature to 39.6 degrees Celsius.
The downfall in maximum temperature provided some relief to people from the heat wave as clouds partially cover the city during the evening.
Regional Meteorological Centre Nagpur has been issuing yellow alerts with Heat Wave conditions observed in isolated pockets over West Madhya Pradesh while dry weather prevailed over Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
On Wednesday Akola recorded 41.6 degrees Celsius, Buldhan, Chandrapur 41 degrees Celsius respectively and Bhramapuri 41.5 degrees Celsius, Amrawati 41.4 degrees Celsius, Wardha and Yawatmal 40.5 degrees Celsius and Gondia reported 39.2 degrees Celsius.
