Nagpur Municipal Corporation has decided to give momentum to complete the target for vaccination of boys and girls in the age group of 12-14 years in the city by administering Corbevax to them by visiting the schools.
Ram Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner, has issued the order in this regard on Wednesday. Only 2,750 children are covered under the vaccination campaign launched from March 16.
NMC will provide free vaccines, medical employees, registration members, Medical officers, medicines, ambulance and other required things for the purpose. Joshi has appealed to school managements to consult respective zonal medical officers or health officers of NMC and decide the day for administering vaccinations to their students.
The children born in 2008, 2009 and upto March 15, 2010 are eligible for Corbevax. The students should carry their ID, Aadhar cards or passports while going for vaccination.
NMC has asked the children in this age group to come forward for getting vaccinated.
