Talented shuttler of the city Nikkita Joseph selected for prestigious 19th International School Sports Foundation (ISF). World School Under 18 girls Badminton Championship which is going to be held at Normandy, France from May 14 to May 22. In which 70 countries and around 3500 participants are expected to participate in 20 sports disciplines. From India around 250 players participating in the ISF Championship.
The school game Federation of India conducted selection trials for boys in Bhubaneswar (Odisha) and girls in Pune Balewadi stadium.in which 47 selected girls in badminton from all over India participated date 20 and 21st March 2022 in this selection trial matches Nikkita showed her talent and beat her opponents.
Round 1st Match
Nikkita Joseph beat Priya singh (DEL) by 15-12, 15-12.
Round 2nd Match
Nikkita Joseph beat M. S. Eshita (TS) by 15-10, 15-12.
Round 3rd PQF Match
Nikkita Joseph beat Jiya Rawat (HAR) by 15-11, 9-15, 15-11.
In QF Round
Nikkita Joseph beat Flora Engineer (GUJ) by 15-13, 15-9 and selected in Indian badminton team for ISF Championship.

Nikkita, who trains under experience City Badminton World Federation certified coach Chetak khedikar at divisional Sports Complex Mankapur, stadium player of Shuttlers Craze Sports Academy Nagpur is Rank 4th in Badminton Association of India ranking in girls under 17 doubles also it was very good 2017 year for Nikkita Joseph she won gold medal in school games Federation of India (SGFI) Nationals. Nikkita Class 11th student of Hislop College Nagpur.
Nikkita has been doing well in last couple of months in Nagpur she played semi-finals in senior state badminton tournament in Pune Nikkita shows her speed and skilful game this will really boost moral going forward in her career this is the first big step before she carves out a name for herself at the international level.

Nikkita is the only girl from Maharashtra selected in the Indian badminton team for International School sports Federation under 18 girls Badminton Championship, France.
