Nagpurians relieved the Shrikrishn era with fine performance by film star and danseuse Hema Malini. The ballet ‘Radha Rasbihari’ marked conclusion of Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav’ at Ishwar Deshmukh College ground, here on Thursday.
The audience enjoyed various events in the life of Lord Krishna and Radha, in the ballet through flawless presentation by the Dream Girl, even at the age of 73.
The events including Krishna and his friends teasing Radha and Gopika, killing Kansa, love for Radha and killing demon king Kansa by Krishna were enjoyed and appreciated by the audience.
Hema Malini was welcomed by showering rose petals on her appearance on the state, dressed as Radha. The colourful presentation by Hema Malini and group made the atmosphere serene but full of enthusiasm, which is essence of Lord Krishna and Radha’s stories. The audience’s ecstacy reached its height during the dance on ‘Biraj me dhoom machi hai Hori ki’
The songs were sung by Kavita Krishnamurti, Suresh Wadkar, Roopkumar Rathod and Pamela Jain. The music was composed by late Ravindra Jain and the dance drama was presented by Natya Vihar kala Kendra.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Kanchan Gadkari, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, District Collector Vimala R, DCP Vinita Sahu, ex-MLA Sulekha Kumbhare and others graced the occasion.
Bal Kulkarni and Renka Deshkar conducted the proceedings.
