Artistes of South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur, and G B Joshi Memorial Trust, Dharwad, Karnataka, staged a drama ‘The Bose Mahanayak’ at Rangayan Rangmanch in Dharwad on Tuesday to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava and 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhashchandra Bose.
A group of 30 artistes from the city played different roles on life and sacrifices made by Bose, the great statesman. They depicted various agitations launched by Bose, his arrests, formation of Azad Hind Sena and other aspects on the life of this great leader.
Airesh Anchtagrei, President of Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Karnataka, lit the traditional lamp to mark inauguration of the programme. The 30 artistes from Nagpur led by Kunal Gadekar staged the drama. Shivani Bhusari conceptualised the drama while Nalini Bansod is the scriptwriter. Salim Shaikh and Dilip Devrankar directed the drama while Makrand Bhalerao and Madhavi Pande produced it. Charudatt Jichkar took care of the music.
